Exercise during pregnancy has been found to have many benefits (Clapp et al Tufts University) including cardiovascular fitness, increased muscle tone, increased energy, fewer pregnancy complications, shorter labour and recovery time and healthier weight gain.


In addition to all the above pros, exercise during pregnancy will reduce the incidence of pregnancy complaints: constipation, swollen legs, cramps, nausea, varicose veins, insomnia, back pain and fatigue.


Sounds awful, don't worry most of them are avoidable! Follow my guidelines for safely exercising during pregnancy, and help your body to minimise those hoffible discomforts!
